At the 2017 Antiochian Archdiocese convention in Miami, Florida (July 23-30), St. Paul’s pastor, the Very Rev. Archpriest Andrew Stephen Damick, delivered three talks, including two during the general assembly sessions on Thursday and Friday, and one given for the Young Adult Ministry on Saturday. You can listen to all three talks here:
- A Renewing Ministry, Part 1: We’re All Secular Now (Listen here)
- A Renewing Ministry, Part 2: An Old Ministry for a New World (Listen here)
In these short talks, Fr. Andrew suggests that the world in which we think we’re doing ministry is not actually the world we’re in, and he discusses what ministry might look like in our actual context. Both include brief Q&A.
- We’re All Absalom: Emerging Into Adulthood Alongside our Parents (Listen here)
In this talk, Fr. Andrew addresses how adulthood includes interpreting our lives in terms of our parents’, as well as understanding theirs in terms of our own, and he talks about how this project serves our life in Christ.
