With the blessing of His Eminence, Metropolitan Joseph, His Grace, Bishop Thomas will be elevating the Rev. Fr. Andrew Stephen Damick to the rank of archpriest on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016, at St. Paul Orthodox Church in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, during the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy.
Following the Divine Liturgy, at 4pm at The Palace Center in Allentown will be a celebratory dinner (with reservation).

– 8:15am Men’s Breakfast with Bp. Thomas at Superior Restaurant (Emmaus)
– 12pm Ladies Lunch with Bp. Thomas at 1760 Pub & Grille (Trexlertown)
– 5pm Great Vespers at St. Paul’s, presided over by Bp. Thomas
SUN, OCT. 2:
– 8am Matins at St. Paul’s
– 9am Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at St. Paul’s, celebrated by Bp. Thomas, including the Elevation to Archpriest of Fr. Andrew (toward the end of the service); coffee hour and Sunday School follows
– 4pm Celebratory Banquet at the Palace Center in Allentown (with reservation)
For those who do not know what this means:
“Archpriest” is an honorific title. In the Antiochian tradition, archpriests are styled as “The Very Reverend” and also are given a pectoral cross. It doesn’t come with any extra responsibilities. (The title “protopresbyter” is also used. In some Orthodox traditions, archpriest and protopresbyter are not equivalent but are separate ranks.)
