Four years ago, a special visit to St. Paul Antiochian Orthodox Church in Emmaus,PA marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter. During a time when the church was recovering from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, a icon—known as the Iveron from Hawaii, which streams myrrh—was brought to the parish. According to the visitor who brought the icon, churches that receive this blessing often begin new building projects shortly afterward.
This is now becoming a reality, as St. Paul is moving forward with plans for a new church complex. The project will feature a 28,000-square-foot church, connected to a 20,000-square-foot building housing a Sunday school, office space, and fellowship hall. Additional structures will include a 1,600-square-foot storage building and a 294-space parking lot to accommodate the growing needs of the parish.
This expansion will provide a lasting home for worship, education, and community activities, helping to support the spiritual growth of all members for years to come. Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this blessed journey!
