Antiochian Orthodox Women of the East

Mission

The Antiochian Orthodox Women of the East is a dedicated group within the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America. Their mission is to support the broader mission of the Church and foster the spiritual growth of women within the community. Founded in 1973 by Metropolitan Philip Saliba, the organization has played a key role in strengthening fellowship, offering service opportunities, and empowering women to actively engage in the life of the Church. Through their various programs, retreats, and outreach efforts, they contribute to both spiritual development and charitable service within the Archdiocese and beyond.

Purpose

  • Fostering Fellowship: We encourage unity and support among women in the Church, creating opportunities for spiritual growth, education, and community building.
  • Promoting Service: We emphasize the importance of service, both within the Church and in the broader community. This includes charitable work, helping those in need, and being active in the life of the Church.
  • Spiritual Development: We aim to deepen the spiritual lives of women through retreats, workshops, and educational programs. This includes a focus on prayer, Orthodox Christian teachings, and personal growth in faith.
  • Strengthening Family Life: We work to strengthen Orthodox Christian family life by promoting values such as love, commitment, and mutual respect within the family structure.
