The blessing of the waters of the Jordan which Christ performed at His baptism by St. John the Forerunner extends to the waters of all creation.

Thus, it is traditional for Orthodox churches to bless the waters in the places where they are located, an expression of the theology of the holiness of all of God's creation.

To get to the park from St. Paul's, turn left onto E. Main St. from the parking lot, then drive through downtown Emmaus, passing the Emmaus Triangle, where Main St. becomes Chestnut St. Turn left on S. 10th St., drive a few blocks, and the park will be on the left.
Saint Paul Antiochian Orthodox Church http://saintpaulemmaus.org/news_100727_2.html The Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ (Christmas) http://saintpaulemmaus.org/news_100727_2.html Sun, 15 Nov 2009 00:00:00 -0500 The Great Feast of the Nativity of our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ will be celebrated at St. Paul's with the following divine services:

Thursday, December 24
9am Royal Hours
10am Vesperal Liturgy of St. Basil the Great

6:30pm Akathist for the Nativity

Friday, December 25
9am Festal Matins
10am Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom

Saint Paul Antiochian Orthodox Church http://saintpaulemmaus.org/news_100727_2.html Orthodoxy & Heterodoxy: What are the differences between Orthodox Christianity and other religious traditions? http://saintpaulemmaus.org/news_100727_2.html Sat, 29 Aug 2009 00:00:00 -0400
Update: Listen to recordings of the full series at Ancient Faith Radio!

A 7-week lecture series, held on Sunday nights, 6:30-8:30pm, examining the differences between Orthodox Christianity and other religions, presented by Fr.
